NORTH SOUND WOODCARVERS
NORTH SOUND WOODCARVERS
Our Mission:
In a positive and fun atmosphere, create carving related opportunities to carve together, learn skills, share skills, encourage people to become carvers and generally promote the art of wood carving.
What we are
A group of wood carvers in the North Puget Sound area who want to socialize with people with similar interest, share the skills and knowledge of the art of wood carving, promote wood carving to bring in new members, and encourage people to carve. Once the size of the group of active members reaches 20 or more, we want to create a formal non-profit club. We want to participate in public events like street fairs, bazaars, special events and shows. As the group grows to sufficient size, we want to host or co-host carving shows and “spit and whittles”.
We currently have some regular weekly wood carving sessions. In an effort to reduce costs for carvers, our Friday session is being moved from the Marysville Community Center to the Smokey Point Library
